Maplewood extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Morgan Himes. The Maplewood Rockets enjoyed a cozy 51-36 victory over the Badger Braves on Thursday thanks in part to Himes, who dropped a triple-double on 20 points, ten boards, and 11 steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Claire Urchek was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, Badger saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Riley Thomas dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Thomas is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Maplewood pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Badger, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Maplewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-42 victory against Girard on the 25th. Badger has also already played their next matchup, a 51-40 win against Chalker on the 25th.
