North Park suffers third straight loss on the road

Recap: North Park Wildcats vs. Encampment Tigers

The North Park Wildcats were the 72-60 winner over the Encampment Tigers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. North Park fell 51-39 to Encampment on Tuesday. North Park's loss keeps them winless this season.

North Park lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jace Cornelison, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for Cornelison. Gavin Pittington was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.

North Park struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

North Park's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Encampment, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Park is on the road again on Saturday and play against Weldon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on December 16th. Weldon Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Encampment, they will head out on the road to face off against Southeast at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Southeast is ranked 21st, while Encampment is ranked 12th).
