While Crescent Valley's win against Corvallis wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Spartans 3-2. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Crescent Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 23-25, 25-13, 25-10, 15-9.

Ashlin Lockman paced Crescent Valley's offense, picking up 14 kills. Lockman got some help from Lela Campos and her 54 assists. Georgia Vawter controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Crescent Valley's victory bumped their record up to 25-1-2. As for Corvallis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
