Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Ireton Cardinals vs. Kennedy Cavaliers

The Bishop Ireton Cardinals will head out to take on the Kennedy Cavaliers at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Ireton is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Bishop Ireton came up short against Bandys on Thursday, falling 9-2.

Bishop Ireton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was George Dyck, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Brock Weiner also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Kennedy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They and Einstein finished up their game with a 0-0 draw. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cavaliers were not able to get on the board.

Bishop Ireton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21-1. Kennedy's tie gives them a new season record of 8-6-2.

Bishop Ireton couldn't quite get it done against Kennedy in their previous matchup last Monday as they fell 12-8. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
