Basketball Recap: Parkview Christian Patriots vs. Cedar Bluffs Wildcats
Make it seven blowout wins for the Parkview Christian Patriots this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Cedar Bluffs 75-34 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-16.
It was another big night for Terance Pittman, who scored 32 points along with five steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Parkview Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Tairren Scott, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Mason Christensen and Trayven Kluthe certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Christensen scored 14 points along with four steals, while Kluthe scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Eiring, who scored five points.
Parkview Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Cedar Bluffs, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13.
Parkview Christian will take on the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Brownell Talbot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Wednesday. As for Cedar Bluffs, they will head out on the road to square off against the Beavers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (St. Edward is ranked 268th, while the Wildcats are ranked 281st).
