Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty Christian). They enjoyed a cozy 95-77 victory over the Vandalia Christian Vikings on Monday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Vikings are ranked 519th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Liberty Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Vandalia Christian, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
