Volleyball Recap: South Bend Saint Joseph's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

South Bend Saint Joseph hadn't done well against Culver Academies recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Huskies walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Eagles. The win was nothing new for the Huskies as they're now sitting on three straight.

South Bend Saint Joseph was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 17-25, 27-25.

Ava Myers was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 14 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Vivian Hurley, who had 11 digs and two aces.

South Bend Saint Joseph's record now sits at 12-14. As for Culver Academies, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-6.

South Bend Saint Joseph didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against South Bend Washington on the 9th. Hopefully Culver Academies paid attention to the Huskies' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
