Preview: Bluegrass United Bluehawks vs. Pendleton County Wildcats
The Bluegrass United Bluehawks will head out on the road to face off against the Pendleton County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bluegrass United is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Last Monday, Bluegrass United was able to grind out a solid victory over Western Hills, taking the game 55-48.
Bluegrass United's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Piper Graham, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Graham continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Hanlon, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Pendleton County has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Augusta by a score of 46-39 last Tuesday.
Bluegrass United pushed their record up to 16-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Pendleton County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
