Baseball Recap: Fryeburg Has No Trouble Against Yarmouth

Fryeburg never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Yarmouth Clippers 8-0. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 7-2 victory the Clippers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Jagger Helwig and Oliver Dean made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Helwig pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Dean didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Fryeburg is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise. At bat, Helwig went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run, while Dean earned one run and three stolen bases.

In other batting news, Alex Allain was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was David Rosales, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Fryeburg now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Yarmouth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Fryeburg nor Yarmouth have any future games scheduled.
