League recap: Cadillac climbs in state rankings

Cadillac moved up to 69 from 116 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Big North. The Vikings climbed the ranks as a result of besting Ogemaw Heights 53-27.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Cadillac beat the Falcons 53-27. The victory was the fifth in a row for Jim Webb's team.

Ogemaw Heights' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ben Hartley threw for 99 and 2 touchdowns and Jack Vliet had 46 yards receiving. On the ground Hartley chipped in 69 yards. Justin Zygiel helped Ogemaw Heights' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 38 yards.

Hartley put up the best numbers in passing as Bill Foster's team fell to the Vikings.

Ogemaw Heights' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Falcons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hartley has thrown for 295 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Michael vonKronenburger has 9 catches for 150 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Gaylord takes on Cadillac. The Blue Devils are currently in seventh, while the Vikings are in first.

The Falcons lost to Cadillac 53-27 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hartley ran for 69 yards in the defeat.
