Softball Game Preview: Fairless Falcons vs. Smithville Smithies

The Fairless Falcons will square off against the Smithville Smithies at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairless comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Fairless' offense. They lost 16-0 to Sandy Valley on Saturday.

Fairless saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendra Zawadzki, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double was Zawadzki's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Smithville had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of McKinley by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Smithies have suffered since April 23, 2024.

Caitlin Walsh-Knouff was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

Fairless' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Smithville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
