Soccer Recap: Doral Academy Comes Up Short

Doral Academy and Columbus squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Doral Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Columbus Explorers by a score of 2-1. The Firebirds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Explorers earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Doral Academy's goal came courtesy of Nicolas Sulbaran, who's now up to 11 this season.

Doral Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7-3. As for Columbus, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6-4.

Doral Academy didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against South Dade on the 4th. As for Columbus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Coral Glades on the 4th.
