Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Wolfpack vs. Lee Generals
Ridgeview had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-8 to make it seven. They lost 11-1 to the Lee Generals. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Generals when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Colin Hill made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Lee, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-7 record. Considering they have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Lee's side, Clay Robbins made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Robbins also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lee is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise. Robbins was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Konner Early, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Virgil Hobbs was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Lee has already played their next contest (against Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ridgeview will be paying especially close attention to the Generals' game: after the Generals face off against the Bears, they'll take on Ridgeview again at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
