Softball Game Preview: Pasadena Memorial Mavericks vs. Alvin Yellowjackets

Pasadena Memorial is 1-8 against Alvin since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Mavericks are taking a road trip to take on the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. Alvin took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pasadena Memorial, who comes in off a win.

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Pasadena Memorial and Sam Rayburn had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mavericks were the clear victors by a 19-8 margin over the Texans on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Alvin didn't have quite enough to beat Dobie on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Alvin's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10-1. As for Pasadena Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 7-16.

Pasadena Memorial suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Alvin when the teams last played back in March. Can the Mavericks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
