Baseball Preview: Murphysboro Red Devils vs. DuQuoin Indians        
        
		
            Murphysboro and DuQuoin are an even 5-5 against one another  since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Murphysboro will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
Murphysboro barely beat Herrin the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils blew past the Tigers 11-3 on Friday. The  win continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.
 Nathan Evans tossed a big game,   pitching six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits.

 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Gage Taylor, who  got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. Murphysboro is 6-2 when  Taylor posts two or  more  runs, but 5-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Bryce Edwards, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  run.
