Basketball Game Preview: Greenback Cherokees vs. Rockwood Tigers

The Greenback Cherokees are taking a road trip to square off against the Rockwood Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses dating back to last season for Greenback and four for Rockwood.

Last Tuesday, Greenback had to suffer through a 70-23 loss at the hands of Sweetwater.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Rockwood faced off against Sale Creek on Tuesday. Rockwood received a blow as they fell 59-41 to Sale Creek.

Greenback will have to contain Jayden Davidson as he made an impact in Rockwood's last game. He posted 16 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Davidson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Darby, who had eight points.

Rockwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Greenback, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Greenback came up short against Rockwood in their previous matchup back in January, falling 53-41. Thankfully for Greenback, Ty'Varion Pryor (who went 11 of 22 on his way to 25 points and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
