Basketball Recap: Sound Christian Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Sound Christian had won four straight home games dating back to last season and Makai Resseau did his part to make it five on Friday. The Sound Christian Lions claimed a resounding 78-38 win over the North Beach Hyaks thanks in part to Resseau, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 20 points. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Moses Stiver, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Despite the loss, North Beach saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sonny Terrel went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Terrel. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Russell, who posted nine points.

Sound Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Sound Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-28 win against Three Rivers Christian on the 21st. As for North Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-18 victory against Lake Quinault on the 27th.
