Softball Game Preview: Centennial Eagles vs. Hillsboro Spartans

The Centennial Eagles will head out to square off against the Hillsboro Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Centennial fell victim to Wilsonville and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-0. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Meanwhile, Hillsboro posted their closest victory since April 18, 2025 on Friday. They skirted past Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts 9-8. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Hillsboro's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Centennial might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from Hillsboro when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
