Calvary Baptist won the last time they faced PAL Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars took their game with ease, bagging a 52-6 win over the Bulls. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-0.

Calvary Baptist was led to victory by Devin DeBuono and Zaedik Mcphail. DeBuono threw for 261 yards and seven touchdowns, while Mcphail picked up 158 receiving yards and four scores. Those seven passing touchdowns gave DeBuono a new career-high.

Another reason for the win was Calvary Baptist's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Elijah Gomez with two. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Calvary Baptist pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average this season. As for PAL Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Calvary Baptist wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 58-8 victory against Lighthouse Christian on the 19th. As for PAL Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 50-18 defeat against Trona on the 20th.
