Basketball Game Preview: Austin Waldorf Roadrunners vs. Austin Royals HomeSchool Royals

The Austin Waldorf Roadrunners will take on the Austin Royals HomeSchool Royals in a tournament on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Back in December of 2024, Austin Waldorf had to suffer through a 56-24 loss at the hands of Veritas Academy.

Meanwhile, Austin Royals HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Australian National Team (Australia) 63-32. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 824th in Texas, while Australian National Team (Australia) are ranked 308th in North Carolina).

Austin Royals HomeSchool now has a losing record at 15-16. As for Austin Waldorf, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Austin Waldorf came up short against Austin Royals HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in January of 2018, falling 51-47. Thankfully for Austin Waldorf, Bekah Casey (who went 7 of 15 on her way to 19 points and eight boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
