Recap: Halls Tigers vs. Middleton Tigers

The Halls Tigers lost against the Middleton Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The matchup between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Halls falling 48-30. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while Middleton is ranked 124th).

Middleton found their leader in underclassman Harmony Bell, who scored 17 points. The matchup was Bell's 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kemora Buggs, who scored eight points along with five steals.

Halls bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Middleton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Halls will be playing at home against West Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Carroll is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Middleton, they will head out on the road to face off against Clarksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
