Baseball Game Preview: Gahr Gladiators vs. Downey Vikings

For the second straight game, Gahr will face off against Downey. The Gladiators will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gahr will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Gahr's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Downey by a score of 4-0.

Anthony Ward (Hope Univ) looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Andres Gonzalez (USC) was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Nathan Guangorena (CSUN), who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Gahr's win bumped their record up to 14-9-1. As for Downey, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.
