Baseball Recap: Crab Orchard's Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Crab Orchard can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Pope County Pirates. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 9-7 victory the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Fisher Watts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
