Football Game Preview: Boca Raton Christian Blazers vs. ABF Academy Cowboys

The Boca Raton Christian Blazers will square off against the ABF Academy Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Boca Raton Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.

On Friday, Boca Raton Christian was beaten by Central Florida Christian Academy 71-42. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (36), the Blazers still had to take the loss.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tavaris Wilson, who picked up 114 receiving yards and four TDs. Another player making a difference was Brett Smith, who rushed for 103 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Meanwhile, ABF Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Coral Shores 20-17.

Boca Raton Christian's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.3 points over those games. As for ABF Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
