Softball Game Preview: Eastside Eagles vs. Gaffney Indians

The Eastside Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Gaffney Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastside has now lost 17 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 8.

Things were looking good for Eastside after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 19-1 to Dorman.

Eastside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayden Vinson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Chapman hit Gaffney with a four-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians fell 8-4 to the Panthers. Surprisingly, this marked the Indians' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Gaffney's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-20-1.

Eastside suffered a grim 21-1 defeat to Gaffney when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
