Recap: Davis Aerospace Tech Aviators vs. Central Trail Blazers
After flying high against Academy of the Americas back in December of 2023, the Davis Aerospace Tech Aviators came back down to earth. Davis Aerospace Tech was beaten by Central 63-12 on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Davis Aerospace Tech has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Davis Aerospace Tech saw an underclassman step up: Braylin Edwards-Porter scored nine points.
Davis Aerospace Tech has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davis Aerospace Tech will square off against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Varsity Opponent has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 12. Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face University of Detroit Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. University of Detroit Jesuit knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge.
