After a string of six wins, the Triton Central Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell to New Castle 48-44.
Triton Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Sego, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Silas Blair, who scored 16 points.
Triton Central's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for New Castle, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Norwell is ranked 131st, while Triton Central is ranked 122nd). As for New Castle, they will head out on the road to face off against Richmond at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
