Soccer Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They came up short against the Eastside Eagles, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Newton of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Eastside, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Newton will host Hampton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Newton will be up against Hampton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.91 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
