Softball Recap: Augusta Beavers vs. Independence/Gilmanton Indees
Augusta fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Independence/Gilmanton on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indees by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Beavers couldn't push the score so high this time.
Brooklyn Krueger spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
