Softball Recap: Cannon Beats Providence Day for Their Third Straight Win

Cannon had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Providence Day Chargers. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 7-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cannon's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Providence Day, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Coming up, Cannon will welcome Metrolina Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Warriors have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Providence Day, they will venture away from home to take on Charlotte Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
