Geneseo has gone 9-1 against Galesburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Maple Leafs will welcome the Silver Streaks at 6:00 p.m.

Geneseo is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against East Moline United on Tuesday. The Maple Leafs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Geneseo couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Galesburg). Everything went their way against Sterling on Tuesday as they made off with a 9-1 victory. It was an even better day for Madalyn Lardi as she scored five goals for her team.

The win (which was Galesburg's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Geneseo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Geneseo took their win against Galesburg in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Maple Leafs repeat their success, or do the Silver Streaks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
