Preview: Terry Bulldogs vs. Forest Hill Patriots
Terry has been on the road for eight straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Forest Hill Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Terry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Terry beat Pearl River Central 49-37. Given Terry's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Pearl River Central is ranked 234th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Terry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elisiah Branson led the charge by scoring 15 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Branson scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Toniah Watts, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Forest Hill came up short against Canton last Tuesday and fell 47-37. Forest Hill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Terry's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Forest Hill, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
