Lincoln Southeast had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Lincoln High Links on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Links walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Lincoln Southeast not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lincoln High between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-18.

Lincoln Southeast's offense was headlined by Haleigh Bauer and Emery Williams, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Ava Bearden and her 12 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Coincidentally, Lincoln Southeast and Lincoln High will both be playing Platte County the next time they take the court. The Links will head out to face the Pirates at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
