Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Southeast Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Lincoln Southeast had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Lincoln High Links 3-0. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Links walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Lincoln Southeast not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lincoln High between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-18.

Lincoln Southeast's offense was headlined by Haleigh Bauer and Emery Williams, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Ava Bearden and her 12 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lincoln High wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Platte County on the 30th. Hopefully Lincoln Southeast paid attention to the Links' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Links at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
