Volleyball Recap: Elk Rapids Comes Up Short

If Elk Rapids was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Kalkaska on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Elks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pine River Area Bucks on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Elk Rapids' loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-17-1. As for Pine River Area, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-8.

Elk Rapids has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Shepherd on the 11th. As for Pine River Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against Boyne City on the 11th.
