Basketball Recap: Academy for Technology and the Classics Falls Despite Big Games from Mikey Mora and Cayleb Blea

On Saturday, Academy for Technology and The Classics ended up a good deal behind the Silver Fighting Colts and lost 60-44. While losing is never fun, Academy for Technology and The Classics can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Silver is ranked 28th).

Academy for Technology and The Classics' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cayleb Blea, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points, and Mikey Mora, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Blea is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Academy for Technology and The Classics dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Silver, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
