Basketball Recap: Newport Beats Gladstone for Their Third Straight Win

After losing to Gladstone the last time they met, Newport decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Newport Cubs walked away with a 51-38 win over the Gladstone Gladiators on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cubs who have now won three matches in a row.

Newport is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Gladstone, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

When Newport and Gladstone next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Meanwhile, Gladstone will try to stop Madras' four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
