Basketball Recap: Morgan Toler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Reed-Custer over Watseka/Milford

Reed-Custer and Watseka/Milford squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Reed-Custer had to settle for second. They came up short against the Watseka/Milford Warriors, falling 50-24. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while the Warriors are ranked 189th).

Reed-Custer's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Toler, who posted seven points. That's the most points Toler has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Leah Grace, who scored seven points.

Reed-Custer now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Watseka/Milford, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 28-4.

As of now, neither Reed-Custer nor Watseka/Milford have any future games scheduled.
