Volleyball Recap: Liberal Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Liberal hadn't done well against Jasper recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since September 6th.

Liberal had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 17-25, 26-24, 25-21, 15-12.

Liberal found their leader in sophomore Braylen Frieden, who had 31 digs. Those 31 digs set a new season-high mark for Frieden.

Liberal pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Jasper, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 15-14-3 record.

Liberal has already played their next contest (against Archie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jasper does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
