Basketball Recap: Miami Snags 11th Win in Last 13 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Miami had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Park Vista Cobras by a score of 65-56. Given the Stingarees' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Cobras are ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miami's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Romari Robinson led the charge by dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. The game was Robinson's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Aaron Richard, who went 7-for-10 en route to 16 points and five boards.

Miami has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points over those games. As for Park Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.

Looking ahead, Miami will face off against Coral Glades at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Coral Glades' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. Park Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
