Baseball Recap: East Nashville Magnet Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

East Nashville Magnet lost to Harpeth back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Eagles walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Indians.

Calvin Bibby made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Alexander Griffey was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Chauncey Anthony was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

East Nashville Magnet has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Harpeth, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-9.

East Nashville Magnet will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
