After flying high against Pender on Monday, East Columbus came back down to earth. The East Columbus Gators fell victim to a tough 17-7 loss at the hands of the Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots on Tuesday. East Columbus was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wilmington Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.
Brooks Mclean was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Waddell, who went 1-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.

As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Ashley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilmington Christian Academy will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
