Volleyball Recap: Mills' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Mills came into Friday's match having lost 14 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Carlmont Scots 3-2 on Friday. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Scots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-90) Mills actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-21, 25-22, 13-25, 15-13.

Mills' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Carlmont, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mills will host Hillsdale at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillsdale will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mills surely won't give up without a fight. As for Carlmont, they will be playing at home against Aragon at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Carlmont is facing Aragon at the right time seeing as Aragon is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
