Football Recap: West Fork Takes a Loss

West Fork lost against Huntsville back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gators lost to the Hornets on the road by a 38-21 margin. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 605th, while the Hornets are ranked 218th).

Although West Fork took the loss, they still got scores from Kylin Patin, Jailen Jones, and Smith Rollins.

Traeshawn Brown had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 162 yards and four TDs for Huntsville. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Brown a new career-high. Zarien Adolphe was another key player, rushing for 99 yards on only ten carries.

This is the second loss in a row for West Fork and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Huntsville, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

West Fork didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-12 victory against Splendora on the 2nd. As for Huntsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 39-29 loss against Port Neches-Groves on the 3rd.
