Football Recap: LaFayette Comes Up Short + How To Watch

LaFayette extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-6. They lost 35-9 to the Calhoun Yellow Jackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ramblers of the 38-24 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Layton Overby threw for 57 yards. On the ground, Zyione Harris rushed for 35 yards.

As for Calhoun, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The result was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won seven contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Calhoun's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Beasley, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Beasley is crushing it when it comes to receiving yards: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. Hudson Chadwick was in the mix as well, providing Calhoun with two touchdowns.

As of now, neither LaFayette nor the Yellow Jackets have any future games scheduled.
