Soccer Recap: Community School of Davidson Takes a Loss

If Community School of Davidson was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Newton-Conover last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Community School of Davidson Spartans came up short against the Mountain Island Charter Raptors on Monday, falling 4-1. The Spartans have struggled against the Raptors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Community School of Davidson's goal came courtesy of Julia Vecchiarello, which was the first she's scored this season.

Community School of Davidson now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mountain Island Charter, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community School of Davidson will venture away from home to take on Lincoln Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mountain Island Charter, they are taking a road trip to challenge Christ the King at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain Island Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
