Brighton had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Canton Cobras an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Brighton, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Brighton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three games. As for Canton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brighton will host Northville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Brighton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Canton, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Huron at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
