Crean Lutheran had won nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 9-0 to make it ten. They skirted past the Huntington Beach Oilers 31-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Saints also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Caleb Bey was his usual excellent self, rushing for 203 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 34 receiving yards and one score. Those 203 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caden Jones, who threw for 207 yards and one TD while completing 82.9% of his passes.

Huntington Beach's loss came despite strong showings from Brady Edmunds and Troy Foster. Edmunds threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns, while Foster picked up 154 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Foster's receiving production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 117 receiving yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Crean Lutheran will challenge Laguna Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Huntington Beach, they will take on El Dorado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
