Flag Football Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Falls Despite Big Games from Goretty Vazquez De Leon and Rilee Bergquist

Vista PEAK Prep was the 26-7 winner over Rangeview when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Bison fell 24-18 to the Raiders on Friday. The Bison's loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Vista PEAK Prep had strong showings from Rilee Bergquist, who rushed for 34 yards and two TDs, and Goretty Vazquez De Leon, who picked up 133 receiving yards and one score.

Even if they lost, Vista PEAK Prep's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Elazia Patton and Idaly Garcia, who racked up all five sacks between them.

Vista PEAK Prep now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Rangeview, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Vista PEAK Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rangeview, they will face off against George Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 14.3 points per game this season, so the Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
