Basketball Recap: Garrison Wins Going Away Against Velva

Garrison lost to Velva back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Garrison Troopers enjoyed a cozy 51-33 win over the Velva Aggies. That looming 51-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Troopers yet this season.

Garrison's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Velva, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Garrison and Larimore will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Velva, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] at 3:45 p.m. on December 31st.
